Overview
This pilgrimage to Italy offers the opportunity to understand the relationship between art and faith and to connect with values such as simplicity and humility. We will discover Christian Rome in both its religious and archaeological aspects which are intrinsically connected. We then move to Assisi for a real taste of the atmosphere where it is still possible to perceive St. Francis’ faith, presence, and love for humanity and creation. In San Giovanni Rotondo we learn about Padre Pio’s life and work, especially the House Relief of Sufferings, the incredible project that St. Pio defined a creature of the Providence. The House Relief of Suffering is currently one of the most efficient hospitals in Europe and holds agreements with several countries. Our journey moves forward to Lanciano, but rather inwardly to meditate on the centrality of the Eucharist.
