Itinerary

  •  Depart Boston

Day 1  •    •  Nazareth

Arrival at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion airport in the afternoon. Travel to Galilee, the most beautiful and fertile region of the Holy Land. Arrival at Nazareth in the evening, rest, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2  •    •  Nazareth

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the Church of the Transfiguration at Mt. Tabor, stop at Cana, site of the wedding feast. In the afternoon, visit to the Shrine of the Annunciation and the New Church, the Church of St. Joseph, built where the Holy Family lived, and the Synagogue. Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.

Day 3  •    •  Nazareth

After breakfast, departure to the region of Lake Tiberias: we will take a beautiful boat ride, during which we will stop and connect with the Gospel, reading about Jesus walking on the waters. Visit Capernaum (synagogue and Peter’s home) and Tabga (site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes), ascent to the Mt. of Beatitudes (where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount). Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.

Day 4   •    •  Nazareth

Breakfast at the hotel. Continue through the Valley of the River Jordan, renewal of the Baptismal Promises in Qasr El Yahud. We than proceed towards the Dead Sea for a brief stop to experience the healing water of the lowest geological point of the world.That night we arrive in the extraordinary holy city of Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5   •    •  Jerusalem

After breakfast, visit Jerusalem, the “City of God.” Visit Mount Zion: the room and the Church of the Last Supper, the Church of the Dormition, the Church of St. Peter Gallicantu, remembering the place where St. Peter denied Jesus. Free time and walk in the Old City. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 6   •    •  Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the Church of the Nativity, the Shepherd’s Field and the Grotto of St. Jerome. In the afternoon back to Jerusalem and stop at the Western Wall, the magnificent ruins of the Temple of Herod and learn more about the life around the temple during the time of our Lord, Jesus.  Visit of the Holy Sepulcher and time to pray. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7   •  Jan 30  •  Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day dedicated to the visit of the city sacred to the three monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The visit includes Mount of Olives, the Garden of the Gethsemane, the Basilica of the Agony, the Chapel of the Pater Noster, the chapel where Jesus wept (Dominus Flevit), the Virgin’s Tomb. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8   •  Jan 31  •  Jerusalem

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, Via Crucis along the Via Dolorosa, entry to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, containing the tomb where Jesus was buried and rose from the dead. Free time until 4 pm. Early dinner and transfer to the airport.

Feb 1  •  Departure

Flight at 00:05 am. Overnight on the airplane. Arrive in Boston at 5:30 am same day.
