Itinerary

Day 1   Rome

Arrival in Rome.  An ORP guide will facilitate transfer on board a private coach to the city center for a guided visit to the Roman Forum, the Imperial Fora, the Coliseum, a view of Forum from above, the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, Santa Maria in Aracoeli, and the Mamertine Prison. We will have lunch together at a restaurant, and free time in the afternoon to explore the city. Check in at the hotel/religious house, dinner and overnight.

Day 2   Rome

Breakfast at the hotel/religious house. Transfer on board private bus to ORP offices where we will meet the guide for our exclusive visit to the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica (if open). Lunch at restaurant is included. In the afternoon free time or the option of boarding the Roma Cristiana Open Bus and visit Saint John’s Lateran, the Cloister and Holy Stair and St. Mary Major Basilica. Transfer on board private bus back for dinner and overnight at the hotel/religious house in Rome.

Day 3  Lisbon-Fatima

After breakfast, we have an early morning departure by plane to Lisbon, jewel of Portugal. Upon arrival, we take an ORP-guided sightseeing tour of the highlights of the city, filled with strikingly well-preserved medieval buildings and streets. We visit the Cathedral, the Christmas House and the Church of St. Antonio, Dos Jeronimos Monastery, and Belem Tower. In the afternoon we continue on to Fatima and there check in at our hotel. Visit and meditation time at the Chapel of the Apparitions. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Fatima

Day 4  Fatima

After breakfast, we travel the Via Crucis to Os Valinhos (place of the apparitions of the Angel and the Virgin) and visit to Aljustrel (village where Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta were born). In the afternoon, we visit the Sanctuary and Mass. In the evening, we experience the recitation of the Rosary and the torchlight procession. Overnight at hotel in Fatima.

Day 5  Fatima – Coimbra – Santiago de Compostela

After breakfast and Holy Mass, enriched by the sanctified environment surrounding us, we depart for Coimbra, stopping at the Convent of the Carmel. In the afternoon, we continue on to Santiago de Compostela. Arrival, dinner and overnight

Day 6   Santiago de Compostela

After breakfast we visit the city: Plaza del Obradoiro, Hospital Real, Plaza de la Quintana, the Cathedral. Here we celebrate the Pilgrim's Mass. In the afternoon, free time to meditate and explore. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7   Santiago de Compostela – Leon - Burgos

Departure for Leon, a city founded in the first century BC. Retaining its holy significance through millennia, it became famous in the 11th century as a resting place for pilgrims on the way to Santiago de Compostela. Then we continue on to Burgos, to visit the elegant city considered one of the capitals of the gothic Castiglione. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Burgos.

Day 8   Burgos – Roncesvalles – Lourdes

Departure to Roncesvalles. This city is the starting point of the holy path of Santiago, with thousands of visitors every year. We lunch in Roncesvalles and continue on to the famous sacred site of Lourdes. Arrival, check in at hotel, and visit to our Lady at the Grotto. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes

Days 9 and 10  Lourdes

After breakfast, Holy Mass and greeting the Virgin Mary at the Grotto of the Apparitions. During your stay we will follow this traditional program, Way of the Cross, Eucharistic Procession, torch lighting, blessing of the sick, visit to Sanctuaries and "memories" of St. Bernadette. Dinners and overnights in Lourdes

Day 11    Lourdes - Rome

In the morning, Holy Mass and greeting of the Virgin. After the service concludes, we depart by plane to Rome. ORP assistance at Rome airport, transfer to the hotel or religious house. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 12  Rome

Breakfast at the hotel or religious house. Transfer on board private bus to the city center and free time in the morning. Then we meet our ORP guide and board a private bus for the half-day tour of the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, one of the papal Basilicas. At the end of the visit we celebrate the Holy Mass. Transfer on board private coach back to hotel or religious house for dinner and overnight.

Day 13   Departure

Breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to Fiumicino Airport for your departure.
